After fourteen consecutive weeks at the #1 spot, for the first time since the first week of 2002, Kylie Minogue DOES NOT hold the top spot on the chart...db Boulevard's debut hit "Point of View" scoots up a notch to #1 this week (EPIC is said to be promoting the song to radio in the US now)...moving up a notch to #2 is Mary J. Blige's highest charting Top 50 hit "No More Drama," which in all likelihood will become the number one song next week...Darren Hayes edges into the top 5 with "Insatiable," inching to #5 this week...Lasgo's "Something," which is probably the next biggest #1 contender behind Blige, moves up two positions to #6 this week...Enrique Iglesias logged two weeks at #7 and slips to #8 with his latest "Escape"...Pink's "Don't Let Me Get Me" is having some trouble moving into the top 10...the song spent two weeks at #10 before moving up to #9 last week and now this week, the song is stuck at #9...Natalie Imbruglia's "Wrong Impression" holds #10 for a second week--this is Imbruglia's third top 10 hit following "Torn" and "Smoke"...

On the verge of breaking into the top 10, Jessica Folker's Top 50 debut, the little pop number "To Be Able to Love," moves up to #11 this week...just behind her at #12 is Alcazar's "Sexual Guarantee"--this is the second Top 50 for the group (their first "Crying in the Discoteque" peaked at #41)...at #13 is this week's SALES HIT and one of the strongest newer records on the chart...Anastacia's "One Day in Your Life" will likely become the 23 year-old's second top 10 hit next week...she scored bit in 2000 with "I'm Outta Love," which spent a week at #1 and finished the year at #6...Cher's third single from LIVING PROOF moves up to #14 this week..."Alive Again" follows the #1 "The Music's No Good Without You" and the #3 "(This is) A Song for the Lonely" (currently at #40)...also, look for Cher's "A Different Kind of Love Song" to debut on the chart in the coming weeks...

At #21 is this week's AIRPLAY HIT--The Sugababes with "Freak Like Me"...surprisingly, until a friend pointed it out to me, I didn't remember the Adina Howard song from 1995...I always thought I couldn't stand the song but I suppose it was Ms. Howard's persona that irked me...anyway, this funky pop gem scores a ten-place move this week and will likely become the fifth top 10 hit for the girl group...just down a few notches is this week's COMBO HIT...the excellent "DJ" by former Steps members H and Claire rockets ten places to #24 this week...this is the first time either have appeared in the Top 50 outside of Steps...

Finally, Moby's latest--the fabu "We Are All Made of Stars" has been the buzz all week...I think everyone I've spoken to about music in the last week or so has mentioned how much they love this song...could Moby finally have a monster US hit on his hands...the song debuts at #38...Matt Darey makes an entrance at #43 with "Beautiful" featuring Marcella Wood...Darey was the force behind pushing Gabrielle's "Rise" to #1 for 2000 (the Matt Darey Remix is what got me hooked on the song initially)...at #44, Lisa Loeb of "Stay" fame returns to the Top 50 with "Someone You Should Know" at #44...Rik Waller's recent UK remake of "I Will Always Love You" debuts at #46...and finally, at #47 is Vanessa Carlton...I want to thank everyone who is charting this as it got me interested and I love it..."A Thousand Miles" is Carlton's debut on the Top 50...
