Nine out of Ten ain't bad...Kylie Minogue scores a third week at #1 with "In Your Eyes," the second single from the fantastic FEVER album...at #2 is the recent #1 hit "Can't Get You Out of My Head"--the first single from the album...rocketing to #9 this week--in only its second week on the chart--is the B-side to the UK "In Your Eyes" single and thirteenth track from the Australian version of FEVER "Tightrope"--the song takes COMBO HIT...Of the ten chart weeks of 2002 thus far, Kylie has secured the top spot on Craig's Top 50 every week except for the first week of the year when Pink's "Get the Party Started" was at #1...more interesting is that it looks as though the nearest competition to remove "In Your Eyes" from the top spot is Kylie's "Tightrope"...

Speaking of Pink...This R&B/Hip Hop star-turned-Blues Rocker is currently charting with two songs from her sophomore album M!SSUNDAZTOOD...moving up to #13 is the album track "Just Like a Pill" while the second official single from the album, "Don't Let Me Get Me," moves up to #37 and takes AIRPLAY HIT...this album is chock full of potential chart hits including "Dear Diary" and the amazing "Family Portrait"...

Hunting for a hit...Dido scores her first top 5 on the Top 50 chart as "Hunter" hops up to #4...Dido previously hit as high as #7 with "Thank You"...Leann Rimes is one notch away from scoring her second top 5 hit as "Soon (Remix)" moves up to #6 this week..I expect she'll be able to make room in the top 5 for herself as records by Gabrielle (#5) and Cher (#3) seem to be weakening...and speaking of Cher...I was out last night and heard a mix of "A Different Kind of Love Song"...could this be her next single???? It's one of my faves on LIVING PROOF and probably the song most similar to the mega-hit "Believe"...

Ain't it too bad...I figured I would comment on the entire rap artist ruining good songs thing since it seems to be coming up more again...I want to set the record straight that "Ain't it Funny" is charting ONLY on the original Jennifer Lopez version--the one performed by her and only her at the Top of the Pops Awards song earlier this year...I've said this before and I'll say it again: if I wanted to hear rap music, I will buy a cd by a rap artist--if I want to hear Jennifer Lopez or Mariah Carey, then I will buy their cd's...

In the Fast Lane...db Boulevard scores another award--this week taking SALES HIT--with "Point of View"...I just can't get enough of this song and everyone who has heard it has told me they absolutely loved it...will likely end up as one of my faves of the year...the song rockets from #32 to #21 this week...

Anthem of the Fags..."No More Drama" could very well be the title to the theme song of the sitcom that is what we call gay life...but no, it's a fabulous Mary J. Blige tune--the title track from her latest album--and is this week's DEBUT HIT...Blige has seen some modest Top 50 success, including the top 25 hits "I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues" (live with Elton John) and "Family Affair) and the top 40 hit "Your Child"...Blige may finally have a Top 50 success story on her hands as I am loving the video, the album version of the song, and this most incredible remix that I heard last night at the club...look for Blige to finally make her mark on the chart with this gem...

Following a concert at G-A-Y, Bananarama's first new song from EXOTICA enters the Top 50 at #45..."If" follows a string of remakes and remixes by the duo that have charted in the past two years ("Robert DeNiro's Waiting 2000," "Venus 2000," and "Careless Whisper" charted, peaking, respectively, at #11, top 30, and #5)...

ADAM!!!...finally you can see that I am enjoying the cd's you made...two songs from those cd's debut this week and I expect more will follow...first at #46 is "Something" by Lasgo...what a fabulous song...a couple of people recommended this song to me and I just let it go, but I listened to it again the other day and must be out of my mind for passing on it at first...at #49 is a song that I've heard before and loved but never found the title...Jessica Folker makes her Top 50 debut with "To Be Able to Love"...

Also debuting on the Top 50 this week is another UK single called "To Get Down" by Timo Maas...I just loved the performance of this song on Top of the Pops--freaky!!

Several songs take a hit this week as the chart gets more and more crowded with all of these new entries...Atomic Kitten's "You Are" takes a slide to #7 after spending two weeks at #3...Sky Tyler's rebounding "I'm Not Alone Anymore" takes a dive to #15--it peaked at #6 for two weeks but rebounded last week to #7...Laura Branigan isn't the winner taking it all as "The Winner Takes it All" peaks at #11 and drops to #18 this week...Sophie Ellis-Bextor is down to #19 after peaking at #4 for two weeks...DON'T COUNT ANY OF THESE SONGS OUT YET THOUGH--THEY COULD REBOUND...other tunes peaking last week include Heaven featuring Reina on "Got a Love for You" (#12-#20), Suzanne Palmer's "Hide U" (#16-#28), Stereophonics' "Handbags and Gladrags" (#35-#36), and Mandy Moore's "Cry" (#29-#41)...

Will Kylie continue her run at #1 next week or will Cher, Dido, Gabrielle, or Leann be able to break the top 2???
